The rolled toe brings the break-over behind the toe about 3/4″ per radiographs. The main reason I hand made these shoes is that I like the dimensions this stock allows so I can allow the break-over to be where it is.

The plate provides a counter for the impression material, which provides frog support. Frog support is very important to consider when using wedges because the hoof can’t be healthy without it.

That weld isn’t too shabby if I may say so myself.
