Hi Scott…Can you post how you can tell your horses foot is balanced before your farrier puts the shoe back on?.Is there something we as owners can check to make sure heels are even and supporting and that the toe is not to long. ?Thanks!

The upcoming article explains practical static and dynamic balance. With an explanation of x,y, and z hoof balance, limb and upper body conformation, we can see how a horse must land or stand to remain sound. The basics are simple in theory, but require practice and experience to master. I hope this will provide a clear outline to better our “eye”.
