We ask that you email scott@equine1.com whenever you can and call (513) 678-9877 whenever you want. We think this allows us to be as responsive as any business, much less a farrier. Although still not perfect, we're very proud of this.

We use our Nextel Blackberry Curve 8350i devices which have two-way direct connect so we can keep in touch as emails come in. Scheduling works best if you email Lisa or if I schedule with her and you at the time of service. I don't carry a schedule because part of the reliability comes from having only one version. We will call or email if there must be a change, although I do encourage you to contact us a day or two before our scheduled appointment.

We use social media such as Facebook and Twitter. steelbak is my branded user name. The longer I use it the more fun it is, but I like to be connected. If you follow the right people and organizations, you can get news that is impossible to get anywhere else; and its in real time and it's fun. The only drawback is that it's kind of a smart-phone thing, and some people hate them!

If your horse is training or competing, we should talk about that. I need to know how your horse is moving. It is always helpful to see and listen to the horse move on a hard surface to observe balance. Often times, matters of breakover, support, shoe weight and traction are best discussed while the horse is working. Has it been tripping, forging, short strided, sliding or anything that could be discussed this time which could make your horse more successful and sound?
