Still working on layout of this section.
I will use this section to talk about different types of shoes or "applications". Trust me, it will be much more interesting than it sounds right now.
I hand make all of my shoes. I do that because it is the best way. There is a steep and time consuming learning curve, but a skillfully forged shoe can be made for any need. Compromises are not necessary because components can be adjusted exactly as needed and at any time. Inventory is greatly reduced from dozens of different types multiplied by many different sizes to a few bars of steel and aluminum. Investment changes from money into hundreds of generic keg shoes to time and consideration toward the specific horse or application.
- 2008 Kentucky Horseshoeing School Therapeudic module 1 and module 2 This was a great opportunity to interact with the two main schools of therapeudic application and theory. Rood and Riddle's Dr. Scott Morrison layed out module 1 and then another week Dr. Platt layed out his and farrier Bernie Chapman's protocols and proceedures.
- Stockhoff's 2010 annual clinic. Hands on with American Farrier's Association team I have been forging my own shoes now for years and the timing was perfect to get some tuning from the team. Thank you very much Stockhoff's (800) 421-1002 and AFA team for a great weekend.
